Support Rally for UPMC Braddock

Norma and Jack F. are staying on top of the community efforts to save the UPMC Braddock facility for healthcare in that community. A rally is planned for Thursday afternoon of this week (November 19th).

Neighborhood Academy: This high school provides a strong educational background for teenagers from economically deprived areas and aids their entry into college. Sixth provides lunch several times a year and occasional study hall mentors. http://www.theneighborhoodacademy.org/

Church World Service: CWS aims to lessen the impact of hunger throughout the world. Sixth Church members and friends participate annually in the Pittsburgh CROP Walk. http://www.churchworldservice.org/

Global Links: This Pittsburgh-based organization ships donated hospital supplies all over the world. Sixth Church members volunteer once or twice monthly for two-hour shifts at this facility. http://www.globallinks.org/
